
Started performing
in the year 1985 as a Solo artiste and has performed as an accompanying artiste
too for many musicians in Kutcheris. In the year 1993, Nagaraju was introduced
to the dance field.
From then onwards, there is no looking back and his association with many
dance gurus turned him as one of the Chennai's busiest artistes in the dance
field.
In the year 1997, he was invited by Taj Coromandel to perform solo violin
concert. His lively performance is well appreciated by the guests.
The Taj started encouraging him as a solo player. From then, he started performing
and also arranging programmes.
In this way, he was able to continue his professional career as a Solo artiste,
dance accompanying artiste and programme organizer.
As a solo player he has given performance on Sun TV. He has participated in
fusion concerts too. He has also given violin duet concerts with
Sri Gurumoorthy ,who is a brother of
Sri T.H. Vinayakaram, Ghatam Maestro.
The dance field
has given the opportunity to work under great Music Directors like Padmasree
Kalaimamani, Nadabramham Sri Kunnakkudi R. Vaidyanathan, Kalaimamani, Sri
L. Subramanyam, Kalaimamani Kumbakonam Sri Gajendran, Thiru Reji George and
so many others.
Later, with his student Arunachala Karthik, Nagaraju has given violin duet
concerts in several marriage receptions.
In the year 2000, he took main role in the fusion concert held in the Museum
Theatre, Egmore, Chennai with Western music artistes which was telecast by
Jaya TV in January 2000.
Because of
his interest in Western Music, he has learnt it under the guidance of Late
Joseph Krishna.
He also took part in Cine recordings for five pictures. After that he stopped
playing for films because he did not want to be one in a large crowd. As a
dance-accompanying artiste he participated in more than 200 arangetrams.
